Shiba Tetsu's Game Pieces at IIMA: http://www20.brinkster.com/improarchive/sht.htm - in English and Japanese. Game pieces are for improvisors, inspired by John Zorn. In 2005, Shiba Tetsu had made between 20 and 30 workshops in Japan, each with five players, who created their own pieces and played them. See whole examples with explanations of such pieces.... VIDEO - CARL PLAYING IN JAPAN with Rii Numata and Atsushi Yamaguchi. Improvisation at Open Session, Big Apple, Kobe, Japan, July 2009. There was a playing rule, special for this place with its open scene in these days: players had a randomly drawn little piece of paper each. If there was an apple on it, one could consider oneself "leader". I did not have it at that improvisation ;-)
