AIMS OF THIS SITE

Compiling useful material and being a space-ship into the future. To provide a permanent, international forum for open compositions (improvisational scores, graphic and verbal) and texts on improvised music. Websites may be short-lived for a variety of reasons, but just like writings remain in libraries, we intend to organise a place the endurance of which is secured through a teamwork seeing it as an important task to maintain the site on a long-term basis. what we have right now...

HOW IS THIS SITE MANAGED?

by Carl Bergstroem-Nielsen (Denmark) and Joe Scarffe (England). We are both improvising musicians and active in various related fields. Basically, we act as maintainers of the site, and participating parties should either submit texts in a form easy to upload or they should do the work themselves according to our instructions.

WHAT IS THE SITE FOR

It is for compositions, articles and texts that could be of interest to readers also outside the present moment. That is, texts and articles concerning theory, practise, history etc. of freely improvised music and composition forms leaving room for improvisation (both new and existing texts). Graphic material as far as space limitations permit. No special language limitations.

In case someone volunteers to write and edit the stuff, there could also be CD reviews and a links section - please mail (see below) if you'd like to apply.

But NOT, however: - concert calenders, venue info (this kind of info is mostly of a transitional nature unless we're talking about historic chronicles) and experimental music in general (too vast a subject). NOT audio recordings (recordings exist other places).

WHAT ABOUT POSSIBLE FUTURE CHANGES?

We'll discuss that along the way.
